Hi Guys,

Was trying to find similar topic in the forum but could not find exactly what was looking for.
So due to the fact that I do live in Poland where 10-15 deg Celsius is a norm and summer time last for approximately 3 month with average temp of 20-22deg is anyone in the forum that can share knowledge and experience in following subject. What kind of jacket are you guys wearing when is around 10-12 deg Celsius and is raining? Is it textile jacket or leather jacket?

I was thinking about something like below but not sure how it will work and looks on Panigele?

or maybe leather winter jacket would be better option

It is summer here at the moment so havent had a chance to test it yet as i only got it 3 months ago......but it is very comfortable and yes that is the new version of it.

I have one of these and it is great, due to the removable thermal liner.

I have this same jacket, but I ride the Hyper to work (less wind protection than my Panigale). The coldest it's been so far is 39F and it was plenty of cold protection. I don't use the liner either. I will say that without the liner the shoulder pads are annoying when you're putting it on. The last arm you put in that pad always rolls over inside the sleeve. The zippers are annoying as well. The pull doesn't rotate completely side to side if that makes sense. They also don't have any ties on them so they are hard to get a hold of with gloves on.

Good to know that it works in 4deg Celsius.
I am looking for something like that.
So taking all the downsides into consideration is it worth buying?do you have any other jacket to recommend?thanks

I bought mine recently on the Black Friday discount that Ducati of Omaha was running for $176. So yeah, most definitely worth it. It was important that they zip to my leather pants which also were bought on special. For weekend rides I have an Alpinestars 2-piece GP-Pro race suit that I typically wear instead. Very happy with the fit, finish, zippers and gloves.

I dont have any of these problems and none of my jackets have ties on the zippers.
What size do you have ??.....mine is a 50

I wear a 52. I find that it's difficult to grab the zipper with gloves on when they don't have ties on them to give you more to grab. The zipper pull gets cocked sideways making it even more difficult to grab.

i used to ride in 20s during winter. If you can go buy a thin down jacket from anywhere and wear that under your riding jacket. it makes a world of difference. It keeps warm heat insulated under the jacket.

+1 Its not so much the jacket as it is layers. I have a lot of experience riding in the cold. You will want at the very least 3 layers on your upper body and about 2 layers on the legs. Get warm socks for the feet. A good pair of heated gloves will go a long way. Thick gloves will only keep your hands warm for so long, especially if your grips are not heated. And, finally a ski mask under your helmet. That should get you pretty comfortable.

Yup yup. Exactly.

I wore thermal pants (i call it waffles pants) like the ones you sleep with under the main paints and a gortex overpants.

Hands are probably hardest to keep warm but with heated gloves, that will solve that.

I just bought another bike and it has heated grips. Looking forward to seeing how my hands are in winter.

Heated grips are awesome as long as they work halfway decent. A heated seat is awesome too. You laugh at first, but then after using it you realize it really does help. It helps to keep a little bit of your legs warm, kinda like the Pani does in the summer! :D

Is the fit more like slim or regular?I am afraid that I might look on the bike like balloon if it is more regular fit.

Mine fits me quite well, I have just enough room to fit a warmer top if need be.

So i would say it is slim fit, but not so slim like my leather jacket.....Hope that helps :)

Thanks for info. Still taking into consideration D. C3 tex and C3 leather jacket.

I have the C3 Corse leather jacket as well, nice jacket. Gets pretty hot in it where I live.
Dont know if it is warm enough for your winter though. The gortex one is higher around the neck and longer.

So if you have to choose one which one would you go for cold weather like 50-55deg Fahrenheit and some rain?Which one is more universal for you c2 Tex or C3 leather?
