I can tell you this all Ducati are crap in the street they just don't like low RPM if you think the Panigale is not a good street bike go and try a 1098 or 1198 and that panigale is going to feel like a cadillac.because the 1199 have that engine braking system it make it so easy to ride a lower speed, I have a 2011 MTS 1200 and new ducati rider who got this bike cries so much about how hard is to ride that bike a lower speed that ducati come with the crapy dual spark crap.
It a big ... TWIN my friend they like to to be rev high all the time.

also what you mean by Cams degree'd?
did you change the cams?
did you change the rotation or the degree?
that can give you some problems, I remember when people were changing the cams on the 1098 we put on and 3 day later the customer come back crying that the bike ride like ..... it a race cam?

. I rode a dealers 1299S demo today and although it wasn't near as fast as mine is with the Akropovic exhaust and RapidBike Racing unit it was definitely smoother at lower speeds etc

Speedy

I suspected yours was a little worse then normal.

I work 3 miles away and its all 25mph, so I'm idling in second most of the time.

One stretch ill let it rip to 100 at the top of second where its windy with no traffic, just to keep a smile on my face.

Would love to see you take the RB off and try the full termi upmap instead to see if you can get it a little smoother.

Good point up there. Degreeing the cams shift's power curve's. Could easily affect the low throttle area.

Already have the Akropovic so called "UP Map".. I was not impressed.. I oly saw a big difference when the Rapid Bike Racing unit was installed and I rode it about 30 miles THEN it came alive!

It doesn't pull near as well without the RB unit.. I ran it without the RB unit a couple of weeks ago and it just does the same thing (surging /missing/bucking and kicking etc) down low with or without the RB unit! It is just the way the individual bike is i guess... I could not run my bike at 25 mph in second it would buck and kick and probably stall...Low end throttle response just sucks and there is evidently nothing that can be done with it..

It is terrible at low parking lot speeds unless I feather the clutch and keep the rpm up higher. The mechanic said that once my bike starts revving up past 8K rpm it pulls like a scalded ape and is one of the strongest 1299's he has ridden..

I guess I am used to it.. Yesterday when I rode a Demo 1299S it ran better than mine on slow speeds and didn't surge etc however compared to mine it pulled like a dog...

As far as having the cam's degree'd. The mechanic just made sure they were up to factory specs.. Every motor is a little different when they come off the assembly line and then later break in..
* he found they were off originally just a a small amount but since he was already in there replacing the water "squirter unit" that was leaking etc. I had him replace the hoses With Samco and degree the cams to make sure they were with factory spec. (No performance advanced degreeing etc)

Don't kid yourself. You're not gonna stop bitching about it. You need to sell the bike and cut your loses. Not worth the stress.

Or burn it lol.

I bet you bike if fine, you just not familiar with how ducati perform, ducati are slow compare with a 4cyl bike in the strait away, but in the turn exiting that big twin fell more planted. hey some people like how the twin work some people don't like it.

ONCE AGAIN TO EVERYONE OUT THERE THAT IS GOING TO TELL ME THAT "I JUST NEED TO GET USED TO IT". I have had this bike for over a YEAR! I have had it on the track and the road. I have ridden motorcycles for over 35 years.. I NOW the difference between a 4 cyl and a 2 cyl...!

I have ridden OTHER 1299 Panigale's That do NOT do what mine does...!
I thank those of you out there that had constructive advice..

I'm done with this unless someone can come up with something different

HI Speedy14,

I feel for you. Man you have been through a lot with this bike. I really think you are right, there IS something with your bike. The 1299s I have ridden including my own do not show any of the low speed problems you are having. I mean stock, yeah they can be a bit temperamental. But after a pipe, sp-08 and flash I noticed huge difference in low speed rideability. I wish you the best of luck and hope you find a resolution some day.

it ok man, we understand your suffering but be positive and just ask the Ducati God to give you the the power to control that beast.
we need to get together as a group and support you in this quest.
