Continental Tires

The tires themselves seem to be well reviewed overall but I haven't seen any specific reports relating to the Panigale. I'm wondering how the DTC reacts as a resutl of the change.

I just ordered a set based on all the great reviews, i will let you know how they ride on the street, I'm a fairly aggressive street rider, but no track.

Open for suggestions here! Was used to Pirellis but got tired of the 1-tire-a-day business and ordered Dunlops.

What a mistake! The 84's just dont cut it, 50 good laps and the grip goes away! Don't care if the wear is good for 200 laps, when the grip goes, I bail!
The 74's are close to SC2's but are worn to $hit after a decent trackday just the same with a 40$ premium. 84 fronts are outright dangerous with the 74 font being the only Dunlop worth mentionning. The harder sidewall makes for a razor sharp turn-in with exceptional feel.

A perfect world would be a 7455 front with an SC2 200/60 rear.

I read some very good reviews of the Continentals too and been thinking to replace the Pirellis soon. The German magazine I read posted a comparison test this spring: the Continentals have been mentioned especially for heating up very quick, great road riding and dry performance (not so much wet performance though, but I don't care much). Breaking performance isn't the best either. The 4'000km long therm test showed that Continentals are only second last in durability (approx. 5'000km estimated), but still a lot better than the Pirellis. Unfortunately they only tested the Diablo Rosso Corsas, not the Supercorsas.

Based on this comparison, I was actually thinking about ordering the Metzeler Sportec M7-RR, which offers great dry and wet performance and approx. 6'000km of tyre life.

If you wait half a season, everyone will be racing about michelins...lol.

When I ordered these I found the sizes needed are hard to find "in stock", AMT had the 200 rear in stock with a 3 week back order time for the front, but they were the only people actually listing the 200 rear. M/C superstore doesn't list the front at all or the rear, I ended up getting the front from Dennis Kirk, and they only had 2 in stock.

I was thinking of trying them out next spring as tire change will be needed. I actually really like the first sport attacks way back in the day.. hoping for similar performance from the newest iteration.and let the record show.even on this forum I'm a Michelin fan boy. . I track/race on power cups and slicks boom haha

They are the tire of choice for they KTM1190 RC8,I have not tried them on my 1199 but I used them on my BMW and they were awesome, both front and rear. Just my .02

they are the OEM tire on the BMWs1000rr, 2012 year for sure, so they can't be too bad....I mean those bloody Germans don't cut corners ya know...lol

I run them. No complaints here, they feel infinitely more reliable than the super corsas in both wet and dry conditions. I have about 1500 miles on them thus far.

Fak.....looks like the front sizes only, mine is in transit coming from Dennis Kirk, I just emailed them with the recall info, looks like I will be sending the front straight back, and probably the rear as well as I don't want mismatched tires.....thanks for the heads up.

No problem....Yeah I wouldn't be looking to keep these after this news...

already spoke with my suppliers, now I have to go thru the hassle of returning both front and rear as I don't want mismatched tires (the rear is not on recall), Its a bit of a pain in the arse as the tires are sitting at my drop shop 200yards inside the U.S. in Washington state, so I have to do the cross border gig to do the return. I also just ordered a set of supercorsas instead....back to square one for now.
