Wondering about how difficult this would be to eliminate the threaded fasteners, and changing to dzus fasteners(like on the 916 bikes), anyone done this?

Thanks for the link, I'm just wondering if anyone's done it. It should be fine as the female dzus are configured the same way as the female fittings on the 1199, so it should be a simple matter of taking one off and putting the other on.

Massimo Cruciata of Cruciata fairings has them. Austin Racing should be able to supply them.

Cruciata > ACCESSORI

With the exception of the fairly tough to get at ones (i.e. the fasteners by the rear sets and the fastener behind the fairing next to the clutch, etc)

Im gunna kick this dead horse; found it in a google search for, "1199 Panigale Dzus fasteners"..
So, has anyone sucsessfully converted from the oem fasteners to the dzus on their bike?

only on the track fairings.

the 2 fasteners under the tank required special adaption of the receiver ...

i wouldn't consider it for the street fairings.

Ok Phil, if I understand correctly when you say under the tank do you mean the side panels below the tank?

yes, correct.

they have the clips for the bolts, if you install dzus, you need to drill the hole and bend the dzus clip on the wings to fix it but you will never get the fairings to sit flush because of the height of the dzus clip

Ok, nuff said Phil; thanks for the help with that. Ill leave it alone and concentrate my efforts elsewhere...

I'd still like to switch to dzus fasteners, so much quicker than standard screws.
Anyone else found a way to make the upper fairing under tank fasteners work?
Doubt there is an option for the recessed lower fairing by the rearset or the top push on fastener by the upper radiator but I could live with those if the others could be swapped over.
If you've never had a bike with dzus fasteners I doubt you'd get why those of us who have are hankering after them for the Panigale.
It is an expensive indulgence to save 30 seconds screwing a retaining screw in or out but given the ends and financial outlay people go to in order to save seconds here or there on this forum it is a justified question.

I wonder if anyone had approached a manufacturer yet in attempts to develop a set... Im pretty confident that it'd be a hot seller.. I understand the logistics are more difficult than previous models but anything is possible..
