Just got back from a year in Saudi Arabia and was stockpiling parts while I was gone. Got most of them put on this last week. It's a 1299 base so I added a set of S wheels (thanks again slow jamz), DP Akra slip ons (Ebay), DP Fender Eliminator (thanks BadBoyBeltran) and some DucaBike shorty levers (Ducati Omaha). Still have a ZG SR tinted screen to put on once I feel like tackling that job. Also have a Shorai Lithium Battery (group buy) but didn't realize they shipped uncharged so now I have to get a charger before I can put it in.
The DucaBike Evo II levers are nice. Shorter than stock but not too short at all. With all the choices out there, I can say these are good and worth the money. I've ran CRG and Pazzo's in the past and these are comparable in quality and use.
I also highly recommend the DP fender eliminator. A little pricy but looks great, maintains the stock look, but doesn't stick out a foot like the OEM one. Super easy to put on, plug and play.
You S folks probably take your wheels for granted, but replacing the base ones with these S ones made a very noticeable difference, especially in side to side transitions. The bike just feels lighter and more nimble. I didn't weigh the two sets as someone on here has done before, but there is a definite difference.
The Akra's, what can I say that hasn't been said before. The sound is perfect. These are just slip ons, but the weight savings was huge. I didn't weigh them either but the difference was very noticeable. Those stock cans are HEAVY. I couldn't believe it when I pulled them off. I rode to KC last week to have the upmap loaded but I'm thinking it ran better with the stock map in. I'll give it some more time, but it just felt smoother with the stock map. No noticeable power difference (butt dyno), just seemed to run better. We'll see.
Good to be back on the bike after a year off and glad the weather is holding so I can get a few more miles in before the arctic blast hits us here in Kansas.
