Got me thinking has anyone else had this issue ?

On the Ape forum and it came up on an RSV4 OEM rim , it also happened to me !
My rear was losing psi could not find any visual damage or any leak around valve stem .
Until it went in the pool to reveal a tell tale stream of bubbles .
There was a crack 3/4 around the base of one of the spokes , never crashed or hit anything just a fatigue I would guess .
Looked into getting it welded but decided against it , the thought would always be in the back of my mind with the throttle pinned heading North of 260 km
down the straight hopping it doesn't fail .So in the bin it went .
Googled it without reading them noticed a few posts about the same issue
So if you have a leak check it out carefully .
FYI it was the rear rim .

Guessing you have the forged marcheesy yeah?

Mine are forged. Dipped em to remove the powder coat and I found cracks in both of em. Ground the suckers out quick style : )
Did you know they aren’t round? Not even when they put em in the box to ship em. Put a indicator on a new one if you don’t believe me. Mine hold air - I ain’t worried about it

And it’s good to know that they start leaking before they come apart thx : )

Don your one I would of fixed also , I didn't take a pic of mine but it looked like the spoke wanted to seperate from the rim , cracked almost all the way around the base
I am still happy with my decision .
I ended up picking up a 1098 rim in good condition for cheap so now my spare for wet.

That’s the only crack still visible on the front. I’m pretty sure this isn’t a isolated incident. The Italians at MarCheesy very well could be melting down Chinese beer can to make these things for all I know. Yeah my bike went down hard and yeah the rear was spinning 60 mph or better when it hit the curb. (I was unconscious but can see the patch on the tire and see where it tried to change directions). But still... I gotta believe that most of the wheels have cracks and am not worried about it. Not happy about it but not worried about it either

Besides... I have bigger cracks to fix : )

Ps - Don’t get too excited haters. That’s not a motor I built. It’s a steel rod motor that came outta Bologna
