I've had my tank up a few times now but this time after getting everything back on, my 1299 cranks but does not start. I also don't hear the normal priming that I used to hear. I checked the ground and the other connector at the back of the tank and they are both connected. Any suggestions on what to check next. Fuses perhaps? Are there any other connections I may accidentally pulled lose bringing the tank up?

Not sure if my thread is helpful since I haven't found my problem yet, but:

Here's the summary:
- Spark Plugs (spark)
- Kickstand / Neutral switches (functioning)
- Fuel Pump (squirts)
- Intake (no clogs)
- Fuses (none popped; boy we have a lot of fuses)
- Throttle (replaced, but could be the culprit)

Maybe there's other sensors we're not thinking about?

It definately has to be something related to the fuel pump. I'd check all pins on the connector to make sure no pins backed out. Might as well check the fuses to. make sure u didn't miss putting a connector on.

Crap! I really hope it's a fuse. Thanks

Update: I need to fix/straighten this without breaking the pin.

The last time I put the connector on, just before it wouldn't start, the connector would not go on to the click. Now I know why. After I somewhat straightening the pin when I put it on I took my time and didn't force it. I wiggled it a little till it felt like it was ready to be pushed and this time I could push it in to click.

Turn the key and heard the system pressurize and she started. Thank god it wasn't worse.

Thanks for the forum assist.

Congrats on the fix - add that to the checklist of things to look out for (bent pins)

Yea, I have a little more work to do with the tank up so just need to be super careful. I'm hoping the connector straightened the pin a little more.
