Hi Pouakai,
it could be a "canyon" effect dued to the low GPS signal, mostly probably dued to the trees and hills near to the road. It could be a software bug too.
In any case please contact [email protected] and send them in attachment the recorded sessions.

I'd expect that kind of behavior in NZ. Coverage can be less than favorable down there sometimes. The GPS on the Pani works pretty well for how it's mounted and the limitations to the system. There are much more sophisticated systems that can be very accurate if you deem it important enough...
