Ok, I am no ....... but I am having a hell of a time getting my brake plunger unscrewed from the stock lever without stripping the threads to install on the new CRG lever. Any tricks/tips?

The bolt stem also threads into the lever housing, if that makes sense.

Hold the bolt firm with an allen key and loosen the nut off from the underside.

tap out the little metal dowel that is holding the part inside. You need to use a hammer and a pointed chisel or something. I don't think you can unscrew it far enough to release it....you need to take it a part at the joint held together by the little metal dowel.

Little bolt

Iirc there is a little allen that holds the bolt in place. Make sure you take it out or you will destroy the threading.

As the man said there is a tiny allen grub screw that needs to be backed off or you will wreck the threads.........
