That hurts just watching! Glad he got up and walked away, that had to be a pretty hard landing. Crazy in the slow-mo you can watch the bike hit that little rise in the pavement, get unsettled and the rear starts to slide out. That's the kind of thing that even the best TC has a hard time dealing with because it's more of a sideways slide of the tire rather than just a pure spin-up.
I was luckily enough to be at Lukey Heights when he did it. He is one tough ........ The track commentator caught up with him the next day and he had deformed the inside of his helmet. The bike was well .........
I was there also, it looked real bad. There was a number of riders that went down at Lukey Heights, including Sykes later in the day, he landed right in front of me and I even got to say G'Day. They are tough buggers.
