Dashboard cover made out of wood??

Do my dash finally broke and called a TV technician to fix the white screen. He asked me to open it for him so he won’t be liable about the cover. When I took out the cover, to my surprise it was made out of wood. Is this real?? Anyway I bought a used dash to a co-member here. I’ll upload a picture since it won’t let me do it over my phone.

That is crazy if its wood. Mine where the white mark is on yours you can see a little ridge on the cover from the outside...
