Hi there,

I read a lot about scratches on the dashboard of the Panigale after cleaning it. I got my Panigale about 3 weeks ago and saw this issue too even cleaning it with very soft cloth. Anyway, I decided to create a protection foil for the dashboard. So I took a few minutes and cut out a copy of the dashboard on paper. After that I drew the complete cover in CAD, printed it out and placed it on a protection foil of an iPad. Cut around it and got a excellent protection foil for the Panigale dashboard. Here's the drawing in DXF-format if you like to perform handicraft work by yourself... :D

if it gets dirty clean it with a cloth etc...
if it get scratch clean it then
remove then replace with new one

for $3 bucks a piece which should last a month

btw i dont know the screen size but i would look it up and go with the closes device screen protector

This is AWESOME, BUT

I DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO A CAD MACHINE! :D

Any chance you can post a template for guys like me to cut manually?

Very nicely done!

Hi,

DXF can be opened by all vector programs like Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator etc. If you don't have such a program I will manage to see if I can do an export as JPG or something.

That would really help ! Thank you.

Here's a thought, the tankslapper film that's similar to 3m clear protective film but can be placed and removed multiple times.
What about using that? You'd have to apply it wet but the dash should be waterproof.

Just a thought.

Tankslapper does sell the film.

Bulk Film, The Tankslapper

You can get the 3M film 100x15cm from eVilBay! May do the job.

the downside with 3m film it's not as easily removeable and is not as easy to apply. I've used both types to protect bodywork for years, I think this would probably work.

I've actually got some spare tankslapper film I might try this.

the dash is less then 3 inches high by 5 inches wide according to that printout sheet you have posted. on ebay a 6x6 piece of 3m paint protection is under 5 bucks. just cut and put on. i just ordered it.
