DDA - data and dashboard mis-match?

I'm running a 2021 Panigale V2 w GPS+DDA installed and activated by my dealer.
My laptop is a Macbook Pro running Ventura 13.6.9

Went to the track this weekend. Sometimes I'll take a peek at my laptimes at the track. Ran a 2:04.33 at PittRace yesterday, which would be a PR. IN scrolling through the data from that session, I had about 5 laps in the 2:04-2:05 range. Weird thing is, when I look at the data on the DDA, it's not there - at all.

Since the onboard lap timer only holds about 30 laps, I wipe it periodically during the day, assuming I'll get the data from the DDA. I looked at the bike tonight when I got home, and NONE of the times on the dashboard correspond to the times in the DDA. As in, looking at the times on the dash, there isn't a single one of them that matches exactly to a time in the DDA file.

I thought these two things (Lap Timer and the DDA) would be getting info from the same place. Am I crazy? Is this a Mac- compatibility issue? Something else?

They are auto-triggered by the GPS. I set the “start / finish” to be the apex of turn 3, since the actual start/ finish is ~140 mph. The DDA output recognizes this, no problem, and the lap timer also seems to know it bc my lap time displays right after I pass the apex (i.e. it shows the completed lap time for about 3 seconds before refreshing and resuming a ‘count up’ on the next lap)

What's the concern with not using the actual start/finish line? I wouldn't think speed would matter. Have you tried using it before and ran into problems?

There are a number of folks on the forums who advise not using the SF line because of the speed. At 140 mph, that’s 205 ft per second. Depending on the sample rate, it’s possible that it wouldn’t do a great job with the actual start/ finish line. But probably more important…. I’m moving too fast to think about the lap timer at that point. After turn 3, there’s a brief stretch where speeds are more manageable so I can look down and see the time.
