Ugh... really Ducati?

Just another reason to get a SoloDL instead of DDA.

I could be wrong, just what my dealer told me.

The DDA is only a reader, no harm in trying it out, but I don't know if the 1299menu would recognise the 1199 dongle.

I have the full Superstock kit, and it clearly states on the instructions that you cannot fit the breake pressure sensors to models with ABS.

I emailed Duacti directly only to be told that there own instructions are incorrect and that the brake pressure sensors have no effect on the ABS as the DDA is purely a read only system.

My guess would be that the 1199 dda is not set up to capture all the new channels available on the 1299. But that's a guess.

1199 GPS/DDA on 1299?

Has anyone tried this? I am about to strip 1299 for race bike and really need to know if i need to buy a new 1299 GPS/DDA set?

Don't waste your money on a Dda/ gps. I have yet for mine to capture accurate lap times.

I'll second that. DDA is mostly waste of money.

It is not easy to use:
x memory stick cable is too short real pain in the ... to operate it - why the cable is not 10cm longer?
x you have to activate it separately every single time you start the bike - why can't you set it default on in race mode?
x it collects false data fe speed - it has gps why in the name of ....... christ they log speedo speed?
x UI for real analyzing - they probably have previous Nokia engineer in UI design...
x no brake pressure, which is the most important - they have that information in ABS...

It would be really easy to do it right, so why didn't they. I made a reclamation to the factory, but of course nobody responded anything. I don't mind if they ignore single opinion, just hope that you let them know your experiences.

And for the question, 1199 DDA wil work, but obviously does not show newer information such as .... len... I mean lean angle.

The gps light will illuminate. Only plug the Dda in while riding, that will also light up on dash. It will also drain the battery so unplug it at the end of every day.

Mine only says dda. Does it need to get reception or just be plugged in to illuminate gps on the dash? I have it plugged in seemed rather straight forward.
