I want to remove the catalytic converter material in the can of my exhaust system, can you guys who have done this advise me if the lambda sensor will throw an error code and put the bike into limp mode ? if so how do we go about fixing that?

It would be a good idea to use tune boy / rapid bike / or Upmap.

problem is im not great with a computer and will do more bad than good, I will be ok with cutting it out and re welding it, Im told the bike will feel cooler without this restrictive mesh in the exhaust?
 
A working upmap is brain dead simple to use....

I’ve got termignoni slip ons with the flapper completely removed helped a little but not alot. Recommend riding faster or ceramic coating inside and outside of exhaust $$$$$$

You could also header wrap your exhaust but it leaves a imprint when you take it off.
Can also cause rusting

You'll get .... all heat reduction removing the cats and performance gains will be minimal, you have money so put a full titanium system on it and have it tuned by an expert or an already setup fix like a RapidBike or even an up map that comes with the system you purchase. As Halo said you won't get any codes on the dash.

Go and ride someones bike that has had a full system and tune, you won't believe it's the same bike. Instead of spending money on slags to suck your .... spend it on the 1299.

I own the base 1299, can't quite justify a full system at almost 50% the cost if the bike? We say a fool and his money are easily parted....I fear that could be the case with me a base and my riding skill level, I don't do track days competitively and the bike in its base format is way more than I can call for from a power perspective
My wanting cats out is to remove the heat soak when it stands after a ride, I get concerned when I hear the gas in the tank bubbling ....I'm told by a local drag racing petrol head removing cats will take away a lot of heat retained, and considering heat rises upwards I'm thinking this could be a good thing.
I removed the flapper the servo and all that .... a long time ago.
 
On a side note I was at the dealer yesterday and they have installed a full titanium system on the V4. ... it's hideous pipe on the left is smaller and lower than the RHS looking at the bike it's like an after thought IMO, the clean lines of the standard 1299 under exhaust works for me

Once you figure out how to do it I am in as well. Have an extra set of stock cans in my garage that you can experiment on.
Ps. I fitted the rapidbike evo and it is awesome.
Have you figured out cost shipping included with Phl?
