Just wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone for all the good info on this forum . I have had two ducati's and dozens of other sport bikes . I've dabbled in road racing (years ago) . had dozens of mx bikes - probably will still ride a mx bike again but due to lack of cartilage in one of my ankles I really cant enjoy mx like I used to. I do a few track days every summer on my r6 .
I wanted to get a new 1299s and its on order. I got a fair deal from my closest dealer and now I'm just dealing with the anticipation .
I had to wait several months for the 1098 in 07 so the few more weeks for the panigale shouldn't be that bad . lol

Welcome David!
Nice to have another MX guy in the group.

I know it sounds a bit strange, but reading that you're from Indiana gives me warm feelings. I bought an Indiana Slicing Machine (1921, produced under Berkel license in Indiana) a couple of years ago. One of the best machines I ever bought. Since then I have this strange picture in my head that Indiana must be some kind of engineer's heaven :)

My grandfather, two uncles, and several friends received engineering degrees from Purdue university (in lafayette Indiana) which is arguably one of the best engineering schools in the US. - also my relatives are mostly from La porte Indiana which is where, I believe the slicers were made back in the day. that part of Indiana is kinda flat with lots of corn fields just so you know . LOL
thanks for the welcomes
