I have searched the site and couldn't find any simple DDA help.
Is it as convoluted as it appears or am I just NOT getting it?
I have a track specific 1299s and a DDA and would love to log my progress.

Can anyone explain how the DDA works? I'm lost.

Plug it in under seat.
Turn on ignition.
Scroll through menus on left hand switch to DDA.
Turn on and save. Exit menus.
Ride bike on track. First time you pass start/finish line, press flash headlight switch.
Bike will now lap time to that line each time.

If you shut off the ignition, DDA turns off so you need to start at the beginning again to enable recording.
It will remember the start line though.
Many have said that the DDA will drain battery if left plugged in, regardless of whether
ignition is on or not, so remove overnight.

While your lap recorder on the dash will only show up to 30 laps before overwriting,
the DDA will store much more on the stick. This can be downloaded and analysed
with the operating system specific software.

Great insight. Will I need to do anything to view the info? Website, disc or app download?

You need to both a downloader and an analyser programme.

I cant remember where they come from now but it was in the info for the kit when
it was supplied with my bikes. It is third party stuff but you get it via Ducati.

I tried it in the new panigale V4 bit it would record one file per session, not one file per lap.
When loaded into the software, it shows as one lap only.
The graphics show all the laps, combined as one lap, which make it impossible to compare one lap with another lap from the same file.

During the track ride, onboard lap timer was working fine thought.

Has anybody experienced this ?

Also, the file seems to miss the gps channel.

Seb.
