DP Manifold unavailable...? Oh and 14T Question

Just picked up my Tri from the dealer after it's first service and having all the bits bolted on and came up with one funny one.

The only bit that couldn't be done was fitting the manifold to complete the system. We were waiting for factory to reopen after the Christmas break as the manifold was the only outstanding part not supplied.

Today they finally had a response from Ducati about it. I was told they said that there are currently no manifolds available as due to issues they are currently changing the design and the new version will be available at the start of April.

Anyone else heard anything about this? Having the only Pani on the road here everything is a bit new for the dealer. For example we couldn't sort the rear suspension fully as they didn't have the specific Ohlins tools for adjusting the spring length. So a bit out in the wilds at the moment.

The other thing is the 14T was delivered but doesn't fit as different shaft size. Ducati's response was you are not allowed to fit a 14T so we shouldn't have supplied one whatever the case. Does anyone know the part number for a Ducati one or are people buying from 3rd party suppliers??

Cheers

Holy cow!
The manifold??? Wth? Not sure what to tell ya except id leave that bike right at dealer until they sort out EVERY damn issue with prep and set up. Im sure they charged you for that too!

Sorry to clarify its the termi manifolds to go with the slip on that came with the bike that aren't available at the moment from the factory.

The standard ones are fine and the slip on is now fitted and love the change in sound.

Speedy, thanks for the tip. Now I shall wait and see what the new design brings before I dip my horns into buying an exhaust.

God this bike is different with the up map and past the first service rev limit! Now not at all sure a 14T conversion is needed as the front comes up with roll on throttle in 3rd easily already!

Fun times!

I was gonna suggest the 14T maybe wasn't needed after the update, but we all have different preferences.

Very interesting about the headers, might have to reconsider my position if the new design deliver better mid-range :)
