I had, due to some oil mist or something...

Clean your boots and pegs with degreaser, and you will feel fine again :D
 
It is smaller in size but no, I don't find it to be more slippery - just more precise and easier for me to control.
 
I think I found the issue.
The Knurled peg is a sleeve and it spins on the shift lever. I thought that was odd.
I'll have to go back to the instructions is guess.
