This DQS issue is starting to get dangerous. I had some errors with my DQS and finally it crapped out a couple weeks ago. Voltage shows in spec, no error codes, but wouldn't work at all. Finally got a new DQS put in last weekend and went for a quick short ride. It works. Great. This morning I was going to go for a ride. As soon as I got out onto the street, at decel it would start chugging. The higher rpm I was at, the more violent the chugging. It felt like the DQS was thinking I was going to shift when I wasn't (toe was on the peg, nowhere close to the shift rod), and was cutting throttle in and out repeatedly. Then it showed DQS error. Stopped on the side and shut it off for 5 min and error went away. Started riding again and it chugged again on decel. Got so violent to a point where it almost threw me off the bike because I wasn't expecting it, and the bike shut off (I was going about 40km/h in second gear). Turned DQS off and rode perfectly fine, and took it to the dealer again. My tech sent the logs to ducati to see what they say. Luckily I wasn't going fast in a corner or worst yet, doing so in front of a truck. This is frustrating when you can't trust your bike fully, especially a bike this powerful and capable. Hope this gets resolved soon as I know many people are having DQS issues.

Jeez, I went through two quick shifters on my 899 and two more on my 1199 all under warranty. This seems to be a recurring issue. I've never experienced the symptoms you're describing though, they just stopped working and I'd have to ride old school. Is this a widespread issue on the V4? Sounds like a crash waiting to happen. I'm turning mine off when I'm riding harder if this is something that's not isolated.

This happened on my first outing at the track . I had new soft wear and re calibrated my wheels and problem has not come back .

The only quickshifting issue I've had has been pulling out onto the main straight of the track. Whacking open the throttle and bombing down the straight, sometimes the shifter is resistant. I'll push to shift up and it simply won't allow me, requiring another try wherein it will typically work. I'm not sure if it just doesn't let me because it doesn't see a good time to let it happen or what, but it's only at WOT and not an every time thing.

Mine has been running fine for 1600 street miles, but I had a bad mis-shift in COTA going from 2nd to 1st this past weekend. I think first it just lost track of a gear displaying "-".

When I hit it again it went into Neutral, then I shifted it down 3rd time, it went into 1st with the big bang - not pleasant at all. After that, it was running OK, but I found upshift from 1st to 2nd a bit rough at WOT, should be the other way around - the higher RPM the smoother they usually are. But 1-2 was like getting a kick up your ..... Shifting down was fine, but that violent false neutral early on made me avoid 1st gear a lot of times..

Overall this V4 quick shifter is probably the best I had, but maybe need to start looking into MotoGP pattern, if that makes it any better..

Friend of mine had the same problem on track. QS kept cutting power all the time. Turned out that one of the ballbearings was stuck and the QS would not properly return to its neutral position. Check if the ballbearings are free and replace them if necessary.

I ran mine hard through two full days @ COTA and it was buttery smooth the whole time (up or down).

I run GP shift and have Lightech rearsets mounted. Honestly, the best QS I've ever used. Waaay better than the 1299.

I see you did not use 1st, I am glad to see that it is not that necessary when you are at pace with no one impeding. Mine worked like a charm too 2 and up.

I'm having exactly the same problems, I have stock rearsets.
It started when the bike had more or less 680 km. I wonder if somebody is experiencing the same issues with non stock rearsets. Maybe the problem is something mechanical playing up with the DQS load cell (sensor)?

Update:

As my second quickshifter broke down just a few days after replacement, my tech was communicating with Ducati to make sure it's not my bike, and it's the quickshifter. They installed my old "broken" quickshifter on another bike in the showroom and it didn't work either. So now Ducati told my tech to replace my quickshifter under warranty (again). This will be my third and hopefully 3 times' a charm.

I had mine warrantied after three weeks of dealer trying everything to not have to change quick shifter. Swapped it out and seems to be fine now. How is the translogic working? Better than stock?

I installed the Ducati Corse rearsets, there is slightly more free play in the shift rod than with the OEM rearsets and both ball joints are in good shape.
Unfortunately the problem persists, I guess it's not a mechanical issue related to the shift linkage.

Apparently this problem is now much more widespread than I thought.

Be careful everyone. It happens suddenly without warning. Happened to my buddy today while apexing a corner and almost threw him off.

I have had QS problems 3 times in 400 road miles . The problem is so severe its like putting the brakes on bashing my bollocks on the tank accelerating out of corners . When I QS up it kills the engine for too long. Ive had many bikes with QS and never had an issue . I have a tuono v4 1100 and that is far superior

Yeah same issue as mine and many others. There has to be a recall for this. Is getting far too dangerous.

Might be exaggerating it a bit there. Sure, it's dangerous, but QS isn't a vital function of the bike. If your bike is stuttering/experiencing QS issues, just turn off quickshifting and your bike is perfectly safe again. It may be a pain in the ... and a feature you paid for that you're not getting, so frustration is warranted, but it's not a life or death issue IMO.

That's your opinion. If it happens to you you'd be singing a different song. Problem isn't turning it off. Sure I did turn it off and it's perfectly fine. But the problem is BEFORE you turn it off. When you don't expect anything to be wrong and using the quickshifter. You can turn it off afterwards. But when it happens suddenly without warning? In the middle of a corner?

Normally I don't give 2 ..... about what people say on a public forum. But don't ever tell me what's dangerous and what's not when you're not the one in my shoes in a life threatening situation. You have absolutely no clue what happened.

Except in your story, you said you noticed it chugging, figured there was a DQS issue, and just kept rolling along with it. At that point, you were putting yourself in danger since you identified a problem and decided to keep DQS on despite it. You put yourself in a life threatening situation, Ducati didn't force you to ride with DQS on despite knowing there was an issue with your DQS. Honestly, with how many DQS issues you've been having, it would be logical to just keep it off indefinitely until Ducati addresses it with a surefire fix.

I'm not saying the issue didn't increase risk and I'm not saying your anger is unwarranted, I'm just saying it seems like you're making this out to be some life threatening issue Ducati forced upon you when it's pretty clear you made the decisions that led to it being dangerous instead of just an inconvenience.

This is what my buddy sent me yesterday. So according to your theory, someone has to die before its warranted to be called life and death dangerous? Just because I was in a straight line it's ok? Just because it happened to me when I was thankfully going relatively slow it's ok? I kept riding it afterwards to try to replicate the problem so I know what's going on. I know it would be dangerous if it happens to someone riding fast in a corner so calling it out as it is is exaggerating? Trying to warn fellow v4 owners to try to minimize others damage and danger is wrong? .... off.
