DTC CODE P0221

Need some help sorting this one out, I can reset the TPS, using Melcodiag, and bike will run fine for a ride or two, then start the bike it gets up to temp then BAM! ENGINE light, check the codes the same P0221 comes up? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

The code references a vertical TPS malfunction, but you already know that. Before jumping the gun and replacing the throttle body (as TPS units aren't available as a separate item), pop the tank and inspect/clean the TPS connector. Another item to check, and one which can cause a multitude of mysterious and intermittent issues, is the connector to the airbox proper. Sometimes the male pins just don't seem to fit as tightly into their female counterparts as they should. Give them a good shot with electrical contact cleaner.

So I unplugged both TPS and cleaned with contact cleaner and added dielectric grease then did both ECU plugs. I rode today for a few hrs and had no issues, I cranked the bike let her idle to temp a few times no issues, im praying that fixed my issue. I highly appreciate your input, no more soap and water baths for her ever again

I hope you're straight. Did you clean the connector which feeds into the side of the airbox as well?
