Fourth in the standings for Superbike!
4. D. GIUGLIANO DUCATI 26

MV is making a comeback as well although not for their F4 but on their F3 in Supersport series in first place!
1. J. CLUZEL MV AGUSTA 25

Ducati and MV is back in the game although Aprilia still as strong as ever.

Ducati has done quite well at Philip Island in the past (See Carlos Checa qualifying times, and leading the race before his big off!!). Now that the factory is involved I would suspect that the Panigale will have a better season than last year. (well I hope so anyway)

It's also good to note that there are lots of different manufacturers that are racing and all have a shot at the Manufacturers title this year, for me it makes it more exciting.

I was able to watch the race online and it has been a while since super bike was that exciting. It was great to see all the different manufacturers and the panigale near the front. Looking forward to the rest of the season now!

The GP14's are looking good in testing in Moto GP so far too, with their past history of success they can't be also ran's long. Ducati has the history, desire and the wherewithal to keep moving forward and winning championships.

The Supersport victory for MV was probably more a case of "You have to be in it to win it" than them actually being fast enough to legitimately challenge, but it was nice to see them score a victory nonetheless.

I disagree. The F3 was new last year and was still competitive. Now they've applied what learned and are even more competitive. It remains to be seen how the bike is on tires at full race distance but there's no doubt the race bike is fast. Cluzel isn't too shabby a rider either.
