Hi all, sorry if this is a repeat thread, but I can't find the answer.

I'm looking into upgrading from the stock 1299 pegs, but I don't have any need for rearsets (at least I don't think I do), and I'm eyeing the DP footpegs (96280111A). Does anyone have experience with both stock pegs and the DP pegs. Curious how much more grip they provide.

Yes, they are very grippy! I had them on my 959 before I put Woodcraft rearsets on it. The raised knurled edge is perfect for track use, you can really dig into the edge of the peg when hanging off the side of the bike. The stock pegs are pretty slippy in comparison. For me, I needed the added height of the rearsets for harder track use, the stock peg position was too low.

I have swapped over to the DP pegs, and although they are a little higher, in combination with the race seat, I find this a very good fit.
the pegs are very grippy, and I also find using the side stand a little easier with the DP rearsets as you can reach the stand when its stowed.

LSL make a nice grippy peg as well
Lot cheaper than DP
