Hello all,
Does anyone else find that the DP race seat causes excessive pressure right between the inside of your legs and butt, right in the area just beside your groin?

I'm thinking I may have to ditch the seat and go back to the stock seat as I have put several hundred miles on the race seat and each time I end up with the same uncomfortable result....

I don't have a problem either. The slope of the standard seat made me slip forward all the time and the flatter profile and slightly more edgy shape makes the DP race seat a real pleasure - even on longer rides my butt doesn't get excessively sore (and it doesn't have much "padding" either [emoji846]). The standard seat on my Ducati Scrambler was totally awful by comparison- sore arse within 10 minutes. Guess we all have different shapes (luckily!!).

If you mean the same as riding a cycle bike, then yes I get it as well with the race seat.
Do you have standard footrests? As if could be the angle of your hips now your sat slightly higher

It sounds like your rearsets might need to be adjusted until you find a seat/peg location that fits you comfortably.

Exactly! My butt and groin area feels like I just got done riding a bicycle 100 miles...

This was my exact problem with it. I had zero interest in a DP seat because it sits higher. I ended up going with a custom seat and it has tripled the amount of miles I can do in a day on the 1299.

I'm thinking about ordering a Corbin seat.. anyone else tried one of these on a Panigale?

The Corbin looked tall and unattractive in my opinion. YoungR turned me on to C&C seats out of CA. I sent them my OEM seat and they shaved it down, added gel inserts and a rough non-slip cover material. However, they're not cheap. It also helped with the heat.

So after fitting the Dp rearsets I can report the the pressure point when im sitting is a lot less than before with the race seat.

Yup, positioning your knee angle can alter the pressure coming from the corners of the seat. Everyone has different ergo needs in the crotch area. Looks like some mod on the seat shape or peg positions is what you need to stay comfortable. When I get sore on the sides of my legs I just position my knees higher by putting my balls of feet on the pegs in order to lift my legs and relieve that pressure. These issues occur for me on those 80+ mile commutes. I also have the race seat and experienced all the issues over 18K miles on my '13 Pani. Now that same race seat is on my R, which sees 1K miles a year only now.

After a bit of a longer ride today, I think that the race seat and rearsets are matched ergonomically, as this issue of saddle numbness has gone now. But replaced by arm soreness due to more weight on the wrists

This is unlikely to be a universal problem due to the many body shapes around. Thanks to the guy that suggested padded bike shorts; changed my life.
