Ducati calls this item a "Squirter (Unit)". Is this the thermostat housing? The parts manual doesn't list a "Thermostat" at all but does list thermostat hoses.

lol. their translations are crappy sometimes. i remember the ducati percormance catalogue a few years ago showed a part called "difference" - it was a quick shifter ;-)

see Attached, does the piece in green have some kind of fan or wheel to pull coolant thru, while the bottom contains the thermostat. maybe this could be reason for calling part that???

I really don't know? It's almost impossible to get to but I have a small coolant leak coming from somewhere in this area. My Pani has been to the deal three time for it and a forth is about to be scheduled today. It's really starting to piss me off.

***Update*** The unit in question is indeed a thermostat housing. Mine was in fact leaking; another is on it's way from Italy.

Reminds me of the xerox commercial with the Portuguese technical manuals. LOL

I keep thinking about that commercial and xerox managing tech pubs for ducati................and we still don't have a service manual for our bikes! sheesh!
