Hi, i couldn't find an answer in the search.

I just dismantled my rear shock of my 848evo to replace it.
I noticed that the suspension link rod is really stif to move, i have to put a lot of force in order to move it.
Is this normal?

Do you mean one of the nuts… as it’s left hand thread…

I wold take it off and be gentle one nut is r hand thread the nut with the slits is left hand…. Meaning you can adjust it on the bike.

Use penetrant on it first. If the ball ends are stuck you can soak them (off the bike) and get them loose. Since you're there and the bike is 10 years old I'd take the rocker assembly apart and grease everything.

I undid the top of the rod, connecting with the link.
The bottom of the rod is still attached to the swingarm, but the rod doesn't rotate on the swingarm, i have to push it really hard, not sure if that's meant to be or if i need to take it fully apart or replace it.

does your 848 have an adjustable arm or is it just the fixed one?

Take it off and soak it in penetrant to get the lower ball free. Or better yet buy an adjustable one. Nobody ever lubes the rear suspension. Since both ends are now off take the rocker off and check the two needle bearings and regrease them.

take it off, measure the eye to eye for a starting point, throw it away and get an adjustable one..

Get an adjustable ride height tie rod then from a 1098 1198 or a Gucci one then and lift the rear up a bit!
