Sweet Rick! 30 wheel horsepower? Are you sure? That's almost 40-42 crank horsepower, which means the motor is making 260 hp. Kind of hard to believe, as that's motogp bike territory :)

I would think it’s compared to his baseline, which would be significantly lower than advertised numbers.

I wonder if that's 30 with a cumulative effect of a tune and removing the throttle restrictions which is there for traction and wheelie control.

I don't know how I feel about the throttle restriction removal. I think you'd be fighting wheelies too much.

I'll do a vlog on it, think he took some restrictions out of the throttle, but will find out. Every run was done with all electronics fully off.

The bike has a Sprint F08 filter, and the PipeWerx link pipe and can.

The gain, is just in the map though. Excited to see how it feels on track.

Ah, if its a 2022 and in Full engine mode there is no throttle restriction in any gear but 1st. I forgot about that.

Ducati's instructions for dyno runs says to do the pulls in 6th gear, presumably to avoid the throttle restrictions.

As @bp_SFV4 mentions the new Race A mode has no throttle restrictions except in 1st gear.

Interesting... though I wonder if the base map can be modified and then the riding mode restrictions be overlayed on that base so that the tune has an underlying effect on all modes yet maintain the benefits of each.

I used that same air filter but with the Spark SBK obviously, kinda interested where we end up, although I won’t have a baseline run to compare the end results to.

the place I’m getting mine done are track guys, they could give two ..... what a dyno says so they don’t even plan to dyno it. When I mentioned it the guy said:

“Do you wanna know how much power it makes?….open the throttle all the way and find out.”

not much to say back to that hahaha

but the Analyst in me definitely wants to know the numbers lol

I can’t wait to see WHERE yours is making more power on the curve….also what the Torque line looks like.

(I’ll still take it and get it dyno’d when they’re done ;-))

The power figures are only good for comparing bikes on the same dyno, on the same day. They all vary between each other.

If they're not going to dyno it, how are the hoping to verify that the tuning is working, and working correctly?

'Turn the throttle and find out', isn't the most helpful response I've heard!

he was joking…mostly haha

his meaning was, they are going to get as much out of it as the bike will make and then make it set up to how I like or can ride it….I didn’t push the issue because he’s kinda right, and it’s like I need more power to turn better lap times right now haha.

we are shedding another 10 pounds or so this go around, tuning the bike to get more power but also smoother delivery with the new air filter abs SBK exhaust, and all that combined with the extended swingarm so we get less electronic power cut for anti-wheelie I suspect that bike is gunna pull like a freight train.

plus we are running a 15/43 tooth setup and raising the RPM…should be a hoot
