So any of you guys up for some great mountain riding? I've been going to these for about ten years now and always have fun.

Mt. Airy is about 5 miles south of the VA border off I-77

You guys ought to come, for some great roads and good fellowship, usually have around 60-80 ducs.

Don't let me be the only Pani owner there ok??

One week before the ECM? Oh man...

At the moment I plan on making both of 'em.

Will leave early on friday for both. Doing scenic route up (will be a long day getting up to Mt. Airy by backroads so probably some 4-lane late in the day)

Wanna meet up somewhere along the way? Franklin? Brevard?

Oh, I'd like to make this.

I used to live 30 minutes off the BRP.

Most of the old restaurants have closed now that were on BRP I was told?

We could do that. My usual route from Atlanta up that way is Dahlonega up through Hiawasee and pick up 64 into Franklin. Could take 64/74 up to Asheville and jump on the Parkway up to somewhere around Boone/Doughton Park and then cut over to Mt. Airy.
Anyone else? Chris, want to come along for this one?

Yeah, kinda sad on that. No gas available anywhere directly on the Parkway anymore. Only restaurants/food stops are at Mt. Pisgah, Peaks of Otter and Mabry Mill. The one at Otter Creek closed just before 2011 season. Crabtree Meadows has been gone for years. Doughton Park been gone for a few years.
All were great places to stop for food/coffee on cold or rainy days when I used to run the parkway several times a year.

Damn, I would have been in. Only, one week later I'll be passing that area by heading the Gap for a week May 10-17. If anyone other Panigales will be there let me know!!!

I used live close to Afton. We used to do day trips to Peaks of Otter. The BRP is a blast, but we used it as an intermediate road to get to great twisties.

Otter Creek was one of our favorite stops.

The Mabry Mill used to be another great stop near Mt.Airy.

Charlie, I'm going to have to super slab going up, fingers crossed the multistrada gets in by then. No way I can ride the pani that far! Glad you're going to be able to make it!

Headed up tomorrow morning weather looks ok for mt. airy area for sat.

You guys are lucky to be so close, we have 1700 miles to go round trip, that's 170 gallons of Premium as well and 28 hours of driving.:)

It's much further from New Mexico! I'm getting homesick for the Tarheel State. :(

Have a little fun for me, guys.

You know that Simpson is bikeless atm don't you? Tried to talk him into coming - at least for the Ducati.ms. And who knows if Jim will show up (though he usually always made the fall ride just 'cause it's so close to Franklin.
You need to move back here Cloner. Things are falling apart. :)

Jim Conley? He doesn't usually come to DABR but can always count on him at DFS
