Just got the HP rating on my Panigale S with 1200 or so miles on it. Everything is stock. It made right at 160 hp at the rear wheel. On the same dyno, my 2011 Suzuki GSXR 750 made 110 hp stock. In 2010 on that same dyno, my 2008 Honda CBR 1000 made 144 hp. That being said, The Panigale is making that power in a very small window between 7000 and 10000 rpm. Below 7000 rpm, the bike is 'thirsty for fuel' as the mechanic put it. This may explain the wheelie problem I have had. There is no way to bring the front wheel up smoothly as the rpms are either underpower and the front wheel doesn't lift, or the power is on..that powerband is brutal as it lifts the front wheel TOO fast. If Ducati can rid of that low end deficit, this bike is flawless.
