Just putting it out there to say anyone who has been affected by this latest quake in Napa Valley, our thoughts are with you from here in Christchurch, I lost my home in February 2011 and know first hand what effect it has on your life. Hope everyone's families are safe (including your Panigale LOL).

Keep safe, help out fellow friends where you can and stay strong.

Well said buddy. Same goes for me. Our prays are with anyone and everyone who has been directly and indirectly affected by this.

It woke me up in SJC, but only because I am still fighting with heavy jet-leg.
First thought was "Did it knock off the bikes out of the side stand?!?" :D

Our one when I finally made it home, I walked down the drive to see our house totalled (was red stickered, immediately uninhabitable), looked in the garage to find my Supersport DS1000 that I streetfightered on its side resting on the left bar end and on the tip of the stand, shorty levers not touched (sales pitch and a definite reason to own them right there), picked it up and she was good to go. Really weird thing was I had a stack of coins on a shaky old table that were still stacked, yet my massive tool chest was over. We live on a hill and volcanic rock below us, earthquakes feel like sitting on a jack hammer. I get a buzz from them, but don't like when people lose their lives and homes etc, that just sucks.

i woke up when it occurred. my building wasn't really shaking (it's a newer one, thankfully) but it was extremely loud. thankfully no one in my immediate area was injured (and our bikes are OK).

Media always exaggerates what CA earthquakes are like. 1989 one was ....... nuts, but as far as natural disasters go earthquakes are the best.

I slept right through it in Fairfield, Ca. Couple of bottles of wine will do that. My wife who works just north of Napa said that a lot of people she worked with had a lot of damage in their homes. Napa got the worst of it.

We here in Christchurch we feel it was under reported, fastest ground movement ever recorded, tell you what it was exciting, but we are still battling 3 1/2 years later with all the issues with our rebuild, thankfully we have EQC insurance, but that also is a PITA when it comes to dealing with twats.

Christchurch got it a lot harder than the recent SF quake.

Meanwhile in Napa :

Looks like what the skaties did here after the February quake, make hay while the sun shines I suppose. I personally would have pulled out the motard!!!!

I lived in Los Angeles for so long you get used to them, always park your bike in gear so it doesn't roll off the stand in a shaker never leave a car up on a lift over night, so it doesn't fall off in a shaker, sleep in your boxers at least, so when you have to go bailing out of your house in a shaker your not butt naked, ect. ect.

Same here, you get so use to the aftershocks it's only when you get a shallow magnitude 3.5 and above do you actually think about moving.
