I have had trouble before and just wanted to share my trick. I bought a rubber wheel stop from Harbor Freight ( not usually a fan of this place) for $8.
1. Place bike on rear stand
2. Place bike on front stand and remove rear stand
3. Insert wheel stop and with little or no effort aat all remove rear nut.
its as simple as that. Now its not just my bike, I test both sides and my friends monster which rear wheels on both were never removed. This may be old, but i have used impact gun rear brake, in gear large pry bar. All i use was a 18" breaker and the stop, didn't touch rear brake and did it with 1 person.
