EICMA 2023: Unveiling the Future of Ducati Motorcycles

EICMA is one of the largest and most prestigious motorcycle exhibitions in the world, taking place in Milan, Italy every year. This year's event is about to begin, starting on Tuesday, November 7 and continue until Sunday, November 12, 2023. And Ducati has been gearing up for a remarkable presence at this year's EICMA. For my fellow Ducatista, this is an overview about what to expect, to include new Ducati motorcycle releases and the different activities happening around the exhibition space.

2024 Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 30th Anniversario 916 Special Edition

The highlight of the 2024 range will be unveiled live at 5pm on Tuesday, November 7th. And Ducati enthusiasts can look forward to experiencing the brand's magic until Sunday, November 12th, as the company has planned various events and activities at their stand and in the surrounding areas throughout the trade fair.

Panigale V4R + MotoGP + World Superbike

One of the star attractions at the Ducati stand will undoubtedly be the iconic Panigale V4 R. This impressive bike, ridden by Alvaro Bautista, recently secured the World Superbike championship at Jerez, earning Ducati the prestigious "triple crown" of riders', teams', and manufacturers' titles. Alongside the Panigale V4 R, Ducati will also showcase the Desmosedici GP, which will be ridden by Pecco Bagnaia in the final three MotoGP races, as he competes for the riders' title alongside Jorge Martin. Ducati has already secured the constructors' title in Indonesia, and both bikes will be displayed in the yellow livery used by the official MotoGP and WorldSBK riders during the Italian rounds of their championships, as well as in the final test at Jerez for the Superbike.

Ducati V21L MotoE

Ducati will also display the V21L electric prototype, which set new records in the 2023 FIM Enel MotoE World Championship. The V21L will showcase its special livery inspired by Ducati's racing history, which captivated audiences at the IAA MOBILITY in Munich. On Friday, the V21L will make way for the Panigale V2 Supersport, the victorious bike in the World Championship with Nicolò Bulega.

Motocross Champion

Thursday will also be a visit from Antonio Cairoli, the nine-time Motocross World Champion. Cairoli recently joined the Ducati family as a high-performance test rider and will contribute to the development of a prototype for the Italian Motocross Championship 2024.

Ducati Multistrada

Ducati will also unveil new models as part of their World Premiere. The Multistrada family will be expanded with the V4 S Grand Tour, a motorcycle fully equipped for travel, and the incredible V4 RS, which is touted as the most sporty, exclusive, and thrilling Multistrada ever created. Powered by the Desmosedici Stradale engine with a dry clutch, the V4 RS promises an exhilarating riding experience.

Ducati DesertX

In the adventure lineup, Ducati will introduce the DesertX, available in both the standard version for everyday use and adventurous journeys, as well as the specialized DesertX Rally. The Rally edition is tailored for rally and challenging adventuring, featuring top-quality racing-derived components. This model is born from the successful experience at the Erzbergrodeo with Antoine Meo.

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono

For enthusiasts of lightweight and fun riding experiences, Ducati will unveil the new Hypermotard 698 Mono, which will be showcased alongside the new Superquadro Mono engine. With its essential yet beautiful design, high performance, and sophistication, the Hypermotard 698 Mono exemplifies Ducati's innovation. Mechanical enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to witness the Superquadro Mono engine in action.

Ducati Scrambler

For the final act, Ducati will dedicate a space to the "Next-Gen" Scrambler, featuring models such as the Icon, Full Throttle, and Nightshift. Additionally, customized superstructures by artists Van Orton Design, who have led the "Next-Gen Tour" across Europe throughout the year, will be on display.

It appears the Ducati stand at EICMA this year will be appreciated by all types of motorcycle enthusiasts...

I will update this post with reference links, as motorcycles and announcements are made during EICMA.

Enjoy!

I'm done with EICMA

It was fun when it was big back in 2017, but since then they have been downsizing.

It's impossible to come there by car, it's literally 2 hrs wasted into the parking

It's impossible to see the bike from a distance and it's 15mins queue to seat on it. THAT if you're lucky enough to battle through the crowd. Ducati, KTM, BMW stands are the worst of all.

It's 1hr queue to buy a ....... burger outside battling with a gazillion of italians
