Engine Ice Shelf Life

I’m in the process of doing a crap load of maintenance. Normally it’s off to the dealer to do this stuff, but for some reason I have decided to do it myself. In the list is

Oil Change
Brake & Clutch fluid change
New chain and sprockets
Replace windscreen
Air filter change
Install blue link for rapid bike

The windscreen requires I take off all the fairings, and most of the other jobs require at least one fairing of. I figured, since I’m doing all this might as well change the coolants, it’s a hell of a lot easier with the nose fairing off.

So here’s my question, I bought some Engine Ice Years ago, never used it. I still have two bottles, the still looks purple but I don’t ever remember it was blue. Does anyone know of this stuff has a shelf life. Should I just buy two more bottles or will the stuff I have be done. It’s Sunday so I’m not buying anything today. If I have to buy more then this entire project is getting out off to next weekend. Would love to get it all done today. Below is the lovely color of my clutch and brake fluid. Front brake was done last year so it’s clean but I’m doing it anyway to get them all done together.

Propylene glycol is often purple but has a really short shelf life - pitch it

It also causes hot spots if not diluted sufficiently

Gotta be on your game running that stuff : )

Thanks, I figured as much. I went to the Engine Ice website and they said it often comes in different colors and each bottle has a manufactured date on it. That in itself told me I might not want to use it.

This just means I don’t finish this today.

It's also useless. Doesn't change anything. Still hot as hell.

I know, but I bought it before I bought the 1299. I just never used it because I sold the bike, well, traded it in and had some maintenance items that were not installed, like this engine ice and a set of tires. The tires did get used as they were SP2’s in the right size. If it was any good then I’d use it and save a couple bucks.
