Has anyone with a 2013 or 14 had any issues with the police enforcing SB435? (Motorcycle anti-tampering bill passed that requires any exhausts on 2013 or 2014 bikes have an EPA label.) And if I bring an out-of state 2013 or 2014 into CA w/Termis I'm wondering if it'll fail a DMV inspection and/or if I'll have problems with the police....

Never a problem for me and I bought several bikes from out out of state and never an issue. PM me if you complete a purchase as I have a registered CA DMV agent that will hook you up for about $300. He does the 'inspection', registration and delivers the plates to you and couldn't be easier. Cheers!

I can't speak to 2013 or 2014, however I have managed to get all sorts past DMV. Bottom line, if you can get a waiver from Ducati NA then your good to go ( I have done this ).

I have managed to get a bike with full term's through DMV.

You will not have problems with the police if your baffles are in the exhaust.

I had used one who for $150 was coming to my place to inspect the bike, and go at DMV to do registration (and hand you over plates).
Last bike I bought (the 1199) he told me law changed and now they could only do the form 31 (verification), and I had to go to the DMV to register.
Paid $90 for verification at my place. He could not care less about the exhaust. Only things that matter are emission stickers, VIN and engine serial.

Cool, looks like I've got two sources in case things go wrong. Hell, just trying to get a duplicate title for my car took 4 visits to the DMV. They couldn't NOT .... up. So having a contact - even if everything is totally legal - is a huge relief.

There may be an R in my future....and another cross country trip across the US in record quick time.... :)

LArider, is the CA emissions sticker under the tank on the Sport 1000?

I brought in a 2013 1199s and a 2007 Monster S4RS both with aftermarket exhaust. They look for the engine serial, the VIN, and the CARB stickers on the frame itself, not the exhaust. You should be OK.
