Exhaust cover?

Hi Guys,

I ride a 2012 1199. Can any of you tell me if the larger (2nd generation) exhaust cover fits on the 2012 Panigale or do I need to stick with the smaller exhaust shield (1 gen) which came on the bike? I am looking to buy an aftermarket carbon cover.

IIRC, the 1299 bolts up differently.

I thought Ducati was replacing the 1st gen shields with the larger ones under warranty? I have a 2012 and I also have the larger heat shield. Should just bolt right up. As far as the difference between the 2012-14 and the 2015 Panis, I'm not sure if they're interchangeable.

If you buy a carbon shield for your year 1199 you should be good to go so long as your exhaust is still stock or just slip-ons.

The larger shield was retrofitted to the 2012 models, so the mounting points are all the same. We're talking about a 2012 vs. 2013 1199 here, not talking about the 1299 shield. Some '12s got the updated shield, some didn't. I did not do mine so mine still has the smaller heat shield.

Exhaust cover?
