Exhaust melting lower fairing has any one else experienced this and what was the fix seems to me the spring loop is welded on the side instead of on top or bottom. Here are some pics of my friends 2013 1199 he just picked up and then mine where I can see it is starting to melt through. Also his has the Termi slip on and mine is stock.

Mine is hard to see but I pulled it back and it is staring, so I would like to keep it from rubbing and melting.

Thanks so they replace the mid pipe also good to know so when I go to the dealer I can make sure it gets done correctly.
Any thing else that has to get replaced on this bike that I should be aware of.

Left hand switch wiring harness is also a recall item depending on the year of your bike, not sure if your 2013 is affected or not, but my 2012 was. Its an easy 20 min fix for the dealer, make sure to ask them about it

Yes, they replace the mid pipe and fairing but, it doesn't fix the issue...that will take extra investment from you...some heat reflective tape and have the springs and mounts welded away from the fairing...and be thankful you didn't get the white which ends up yellowing like an old ashtray.

Here's my quick fix till I take it in, so it doesn't get any worse. It's safety wired to the spring tab.

I got the spring hanger repositioned prior to a trip to Denmark. No issues so far.

Ducati is asking for more pics if I take the wrap off it will burn right through. Should I?
