Guys I'm installing my new FM Project exhaust. The system does not have an option to use the flap. What do I do with it, I need to remove the stock Y pipe.

If I disconnect the cable can I leave it tucked away? I heard if its removed can cause error lights.

Thanks

Mine has been gone since forever. No lights. You will also have the advantage of no welding wire getting your valve stuck: (that's what I found in one from Ducati)

You can disconnect the cable and if you want remove the servo motor too. No error lights and you do not need do connect anything else. That was certainly the case with my 2012 model.

Turns out it has to come out for the exhaust bracket. But I can't for life of me disconnect the servo connector. Is there a release tab on other side? Don't want to apply too much pressure

EDIT: Figured it out. It disconnects from the top, then the bottom connector can be removed
