Got the Tric back today, full system seems so much smoother than just the slip ons, 31mph in third, 40mph in fourth, no hunting just smoooooottth.

No louder though, i still think the 1198 with the full 72 mm system on was louder. Could be my age!

Suspension set to P, hit pothole on the way back and it only rattled two of my fillings out not the usual four! Setup needed at Maxton asap.

Tank protector on, DID chain on, comfort seat sent back, race seat on. BTW on this note, having sat the two side by side, the race seat is still high at the front by the tank but 3/4" lower than the comfort but quite a bit lower at the back, doesn't pitch you forward like the comfort seat.

Clutch was perfect today, the master cylinder had water and other rubbish in there apparently, he greased it before putting it back in.

Only 10 miles in sport today 40 miles in wet in the pissing down rain hence the quick clean when i got home. it felt super smooth but it wasn't ideal testing for the new full system.

PS the new carbon exhaust cowl uses the same four holes as the pillion passenger foot peg holes, dunno if that means you can't attach both?? If so the other half is going to be severely disappointed!

Is the race seat softer than the stock one?

No harder, for the first 20 miles it was downright painful coz it's quite narrow at the front but once I settled in it was fine. I'm guessing it will break in a bit. No sliding around though and not as much height as the comfort seat.

Once the full system is fitted the ability to install passenger pegs goes away. I delayed the installation of the full system so I could take my other half on a ride or two. She went for one and said she has had enough.

well played sir!

Looking good Andy1199 :)

Wow, I would love to know how they applied the tank protector so well?

My first one is in the bin, second trembling in a drawer :p

Oh dear, I'll have to buy a multi-strada!

I thought maybe I could remove the u bend pipe, take the heat shield off then fit the pegs then the heat shield bracket over the top of them before bolting up. If not she is not going to be happy.

Yeah, took them two goes too! I turned up and the first one was bubbled and told them to replace it. The key to it is to apply heat to it before you place it on the tank then apply heat to it again. A hair dryer would do. If you get any bubbles just heat it and press it, they come out. I'm quite pleased with how it looks I usually hate tank protectors.

Ive ordered the the carbon dp protector. Do I need to use the same method with the hair dryer to apply that as well?

I stuck one on my old R1 without needing to apply heat and I never had an issue with it. That want a super expensive pad either. Just a normal fake carbon design.

Not sure but the dealer reckoned it was a lot easier to get them on and off when the are warm. If its the carbon one you won't see the bubbles anyway as long as they are not too big.

you have driven the bike with the termi slip on first ? and now full system.
besides it being smoother do you feel any power increase compared to the slip ons?
i would thin mid range is less powerfull and top end a little more?

let me know if the full system is worth please,.

No idea yet, it poured down with rain on the journey home so I can tell you it was a lot smoother in terms of low down revs bit I wasn't able to tell anything else. Once it finally stops raining in this f'king country I'll let you know!

WOW , very nice!!

I was advised by a friend who knows alot about these things to get the full system. Very interested to know more. Power, throttle response, engine braking, fuel map, heat .......?

Please keep us upto date on you observations, would be much appreciated.

On a seperate note: would be great to see infra red pics of the difference between stock (posted in a different thread) the termi slip ons (which I think/feel runs cooler) and the full system (or even full system ceramic coated) So we could "see" the difference in heat radiation and see if our "feelings" are correct.
