I cut pieces and taped them to cover almost all the spots. Placed some under my seat as well. Don't remember the brand but it definitely works. I only put it on the right side lower fairing tough.
I used the stuff manufactured by Woodcraft Industries (Armour Bodies).
It comes in large sheets and you cut to fit.
Create a template using paper-board (AKA bristol-board) or something like it. Trace, cut with scissors to create your template; transfer that to the heat shield, and voila.
Invest in some good metal cutting sheers and you are golden.
You can buy the stuff directly from Woodcraft or dealers like sportbiketrackgear.com Armour Bodies Bodywork Heat Shield - Sportbike Track Gear
I used this exact stuff when I put the new exhaust system on as it was closer to the lower fairing than the OEM exhaust. 3000km later, still as good as new.
I know these work, but I can't compare them to the gold sticky tape. These do come with self-adhesive on one side, some type of insulation in the middle and then thick metal to reflect the heat.
