I need some feedback on this art mock-up of my new two-piece leathers. See attached artwork.
I am thinking of ditching the flag, Arai and Ohlins patches.
I am not so sure of Ducati on the arms; maybe on the chest instead of the Pilot logo. Pilot allows replacement of one of their logos. Or, no Ducati logo at all.
Too much bling?

Check out this link: http://ducati1199.com/ducati-1199/3454-ducati-corse-leather-jacket-too-much-bling.html some on this board believe that you are a ... if you wear anything that says Ducati on it? Your riding a Ducati 1199 that has it's name on it in 8 different places. It's a flashy bike, if the flashy part bothers you then get yourself a scooter. Or how about these guys that are so anti-Ducati logo to remove all them off your bike. My vote is add the Ducati logo, but buy what you like, don't worry what other people think, especially the logo police on here.

Thanks (I think) for the feed back. Flag on the cod piece; don't know why I did not think of that.
I do not mind the Ducati Logo. Hell, I paid good money for Ducati T-shirt. That said, it may be too much on the arms. It is hard to tell without seeing the final product.
I'm going to ask for another mock-up, ditching the Ohlins, Arai and Flag patches, and moving from Ducati on the arms to one Ducati logo on the chest, replacing the Pilot logo that is currently there. (They allow you to ditch one of the Pilot logos.)
I ride now in a one-piece Vanson race suit; it's all black (no bling at all) and 13 years old so its time for a change.

I like the Ducati on the arms - unless you aren't riding one ;) As for the rest, I think just enough patches. Most patches are for sponsorship anyway. BTW, my wife is a Razorback - woo-pig-sooie!

Tyler or a nickname definitely needs to go across your ass, so that riders you pass know what's up.

Styler, two things to consider :

1) For custom work, most people have their name/logo put on the back rear (probably where it says Pilot on your current design) similar to the placement of "The Doctor" on Rossi's leathers.

2) Most custom places will not put a Ducati or Ohlins logo on it.

Dainese have custom designed my leathers (due April) and stated up front before I asked "no logos can be applied unless you own the trademark". In my case I do indeed own the trademark which is the name of my company.

Pilot, my have a different policy.

Trust this helps.

-- nice suit ! I like the way it is not too overdone - good luck with it

i think it looks good and i like the ohlins and arai logo's but i am surprised they are allowed to use company logo's without their consent (but thats an issue for Pilot).

as others have stated i think your name replacing the pilot signage on your back would be the way to go.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the feedback.
I have new artwork coming today, and likely one-more go-around after that.
Pilot is very good about logo's etc; they sponsor most AMA riders and have stock logos for use. I don't see any issue with using them; whenever I buy a helmet, shock, etc., it always comes with logo decals.
Anyway, I'm getting some new art work today; something similar, but with no flag, Ohlins or Arai badges just to see what it looks like. I am also going to see what it looks like with Ducati on the chest in place of the Pilot logo and on the lower back, with nothing on the arms. Not so sure about the nick-name (Styler) on the back.
Thanks again. I'll post new artwork when it comes in.
P.S. My mother pointed out that I'd better stay slim; she only knows of one fat-man that can pull off a red suit, and most people stop believing him around the age of 10. LOL

Wait, he's not real? Spoiler!!

I wouldn't put my name on the back or butt if I was going to use them on the street. It would make it too easy to point out in a line up.

:D

Everyone with a cell phone thinks they need to record and report everything they see or think they see.

Wait. You're the one buying from them but they get to tell you how many of their logos you're required to have on it????

I think if I was in the market and someone wanted me to have their name in big letters all over the suit, I'd ask 'em to show me the money.

Only free logo I had on my race leathers was the old Ducati Mechanica logo on the back (because I always liked the look).

Everyone else needed to show some benefit before it went on...

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
This is the latest design mock-up for my two-piece leathers (attached).
They are still visible with lots of bright red, but more black so I don't look like Santa Clause.
I will be ditching the flag on the final draft so it does not look so crowded on the shoulder.

Second version looking great. But basically it comes down to how well you ride the bike in my opinion. If you can ride the arse off it with zero chicken strips on a 200 profile tire you're officially allowed to wear want you want and look good in it. Inch wide strips requires a big tone down!!! LOL :D

I'm good then - not too flash, but a step up from all black. I've only had the bike on the road to date and I wear out the shoulder of my front tires before the middle, and have and 1/4-to-1/8 inch chicken strip on the rear tire, depending if it is winter or summer.
Those trees and guardrails at the side of the road make me nervous.

I guess I should walk around with my dick out to proclaim to one and all I have a penis. Again, I also ludicrously (I know right?) pointed out if you want to be pretentious go for it. Do what you want.

I'm not talking to the OP.
