First Mod - Steering Damper Black Out

So I've only had the bike a few hours, but the glory of the display is no match for the bright brilliant steering damper that reflects right into the gauge, effectively erasing all the important data at the bottom.

I'm sure some Ducatiatsi will freak out about the rattle can job, but at least now I can see my settings in the sun!

Instructions:
Remove the two bolts holding the damper on, mask important bits of the damper, pop the cap off a shaken can of Rustoleum (I used Textured Black) and spray away.

Actually it doesn't look as nice as the clear anodized stock unit. Maybe I'm just the wrong height, but it was fairly blinding. Now all I see is the backside triple clamp reflection, but at least everything on the gauges is still legible.

And come to think of it--painting it black makes it far less desirable to a thief. It literally takes 45 sec to remove and I bet it fits just about any sportbike out there with the right bracket.
