Had my first race meeting on the 1299 on the weekend and everything went to plan .
After racing the 1199 R Last year I was a little concerned if I had made the right choice as it turns out I set a PB on the first day and got within 4 seconds of the lap record .
I love everything about this bike it is easy to ride and the Mupo suspension is spot on . Had a few issues with controlling wheelies but a little more preload and a higher setting on the WC had the bike perfect .
I have been off the bike for a while and need to practice my starts but managed to finish second in all my races . I felt I was at a point in my life where I was going to continue racing or just give it away I'm still unsure about that but the 1299 has made racing fun again which is what it was always meant to be for me .
Compared to the 1199r the 1299 does not rev as hard but the drive out the corners is excellent but my times reflect either the bike the new suspension I think it may be a bit of both .
