Yep good news and no surprise on being a million times better.
Yes, I was hoping my dealer would fit mine too! But they said because would void the warranty with Ducati if they did it with all the electronics etc.... Mmm so looks like I will be doing myself, or maybe ride up to Leeds to get your dealer to do it!
Exactly my thoughts.... I know it's only a little issue but added with all the others builds up to kinda shadow the whole experience, but hay Ho I'm sure that will all surpass when I'm sat on my own 1199!?

Maybe you can post a pictures of the r&g tail???I cant make the choice: a org ducati tail tidy or something else or make a aluminium myself....

How does fitting an after market tail tidy invalidate the warranty? You're not cutting any wires are you? If not, and you can refit the original part, I don't see how this would affect the warranty. Should be easy to fit yourself anyway, 4 bolts and an electrical connector?

Would really like to see some pics with a numberplate fitted aswell, as the r&g bracket does look like it sits quite high. I would like to see if the plate hides part of the exquisite tail lights.
I know that's what I thought.
Although I do remember having to cut a couple of wires etc on my S1000RR when I fitted one to that, but managed to do that and not get a warning light come on, on the dash! Just hoping you don't have to cut any wires on the 1199 but I'm not sure.. Anyone know?

Couldn't wait any longer for the pics, just received my 3 day delivery email from my dealer so placed an order for the R&G tail tidy. Hope it looks the dogs on my Base + ABS around North Wales.
Had my call last fri so imminent, have my Tailtidy already waiting so as soon as it arrives I will attempt to install and show some pics on here...
