How do I convert the 1299 to gp shift pattern??

I didn't see anything when I searched,

seems like I have to remove a lot to just flip the shift knuckle at the transmission shaft 90 degrees.

I also was worried if it would affect the autoblip

Thanks

yea I get that

I didn't see how to pull it off the shift shaft without removing a lot of stuff its hitting

does the shift linkage remove easily ??

It didn't look like it

it doesn't mess with the autoblip??

Playing around with the shift rod always means messing around with the clutch slave cylinder and the rear peg. Just don't open the clutch hydraulics, pulling off the slave cylinder doesn't create any problems.
If you'd open already the clutch hydraulics: bleeding is pretty easy and can be done in a couple of minutes.

ok that's what I was seeing just making sure I wasn't spacing on it

Im sure a micro screw driver to remove and swap pins around on plug will have same effect......

Did this on the 1299s and it works just fine. Only issue I had was with the maximum throw of the shift lever when reversed. It was too high for my preference. Even with the rod end adjustment all the way in, I ended up also adjusting the spline connection at the other end of the rod by 1 spline.

You cannot go more than that or else you will go past 0 deg. on the knuckle/rod when upshifting. Not much wiggle room to play with.

I had the same problem, the shift lever sat too high. Before and after I switched to GP shift.

When I moved the arm by one spline on the transmission the black quick shift box ran into the splined shaft when I was shifting so I ended up removing the nut from the shifter side of the adjustment rod which allowed me to shorten it more. I also ended up grinding a small relief in the shifter so I could run it lower without it hitting the rearset on what are now up shifts.

Ducati really messed up the shifter on this bike. It's sits SO high and the throw is super long.

Sorry for digging up such an old thread.

Does anyone sell a replacement shift knuckle like what's included in the DP kit? I purchased a TuneBoy which has a checkbox to flip the QS to reverse/MotoGP shift, but that still leaves me with the clearance issues mentioned earlier in this thread. Just curious if there are cheaper options for just the knuckle, aftermarket or by DP.

Thanks!
