For some weeks - I have observed, that the gear numbers in the dash are fluctuating up and down. Didn't really have any impact on performance.
Last weekend - it went worse: I got errors regarding BBS and engine fault in the dash, and performance of the bike was effected.
Next session - bike refused to start - Gear indicator showed just " - " instead og " N "
Long story short - Root cause was the wiring loom to the BBS unit under the seat. some 7 cm from the connector to the BBS unit - the wiring loom was in contact with the rear subframe - and the sharp edge on the subframe have cut into the wires - resulting in short circuit to ground.
Therefore - BEWARE of the sharp edges on the rear subframe.
