Okay racers,

I need to know what people are doing about his requirement for racing. I just purchased a set of shark skinz with a fluid retention style belly pan, but the the belly pan is undrilled and seems impossible to take on and off without removing the cans every time.

Is there a better option out there?

I think you just found the HUGE NEGATIVE of under belly exhaust!

No option . It's a pain but that's all that works .

Get yourself over to a hardware store and buy a plug and a matching drill bit. About 1" will do.

Do this before you mount it up, but after you mock it up to see where the lowest point you can fit the plug.

Some guys throw a piece of tape accross the plugged hole to make sure it doesn't pop out while on the track.

Here you go:

PN 97180051A and retails for $802.40...Ducati site says it includes race fairings which makes sense to me. $576 without a belly pan, $800 with. I'd hope they weren't charging $800 for just a belly pan. It comes with the same accessories my fairing upgrade kit had so that makes me think it comes with the plastics, but at least now I know what those 2 spacers (which was driving me crazy trying to figure out) were for. Some retailers say it doesn't have fairings so I'm waiting on an answer for that. Oh and it looks like a complete PITA to install. Instructions say it can only be fitted with a full system installed.

All you have to do is take off all the plastics, the gas tank, the radiator, the fan, exhaust and kickstand to install.

Why do you need to take it off every time? Can't you just leave the belly pan?

Just use the KraaiTech Oil Draniage Transition Piece and you do not have to take off the belly pan when changing oil. It even comes with a 1" rubber plug.
I use it on my racing bike, on which I change oil after every race weekend and it works perfectly. Oil changed in 15 minutes!!!

I rather masturbate with a cheese grater than pay 300 plus bucks for a piece of fiberglass.

BTW thanks for the help! The directions may help me figure out a way to hang the shark skinz one :)

contact Woodcraft and order the Armor Bodies pan, it is under $100, its on their site.I will only fit with Termi mufflers, there is not enough room for it with stock cans. Armor is also the most crashworthy bodies made, fact!

Thanks (not :) ) for that image, but for all we know, that might mean you love paying a lot for fiberglass :D

Any one else use this?
