I have a 2011 KTM RC8R Track Edition with Bill of Sale (I am the original and only owner). Used for lapping days, less than 1000 miles. Bike has some cosmetic damage (mostly to the fiberglass) from a low speed lowside, but is fully functional.

I'm not holding my breath that someone will pick this up via this forum, I may make a WERA or NESBA listing. But here is your chance to get a no .... race bike (I've never ridden a more visceral machine) for half the cost of new. I could fix the damage and try to sell at a higher price, but have elected not to if I can get a buyer. I'm selling to get my finances in order, there is no other reason. I love this bike more than my Panigale 1199S, but rarely get a chance to use it.

Extras Include:

Spare K&N FIlters
GB Racing Case Covers
Samcosport Hoses
Healtech GiPro Gear Indicator
Akrapovic Rear Hugger and Sprocket Cover
MotovationUSA Under Fairing Sliders
KTM Rear Stand
KTM Front Fork Stand
KTM Front Triple Stand
CapIT 120v Tire Warmers
COX Radiator Guard

$12,000 OBO
Payment via Cashier's Check / Money Order or Wire Transfer

Having raced one of these since the inception of the brand and having had two Race Specs myself, the bike is an awesome machine.

That being said, why only a Bill of Sale? It shows as sold to you (I won't use your full name and address) from Fay Meyers in June of 2011. I had a dealer run the VIN# and so, you should have the title. If it was not registered which it is not showing on as a registered unit - you should at least have the MSO... That's going to be a tough hurdle on any board. You can get a duplicate MSO from the dealership you bought it from.

Also, the bike retails for $20k. You have a decent price, but what happened to the white (gloss) tank and why replaced? Also, do you have the thinner head gaskets installed and if not, does that come with the bike as well as the cam timing plates?

All I know is I paid cash for the bike and I personally never registered it. I have a bill of sale from ktm or it might be what you mentioned from ktm. It had the thinner head gaskets and all that. The plastics had been replaced and the tank cracked in a previous lowside, so I replaced it.

The details you looked up are correct. I purchased it from fay.

You would have two items. 1) Bill of Sale which is the price breakdown from the dealership showing relative costs and total that shows VIN, etc. 2) Title.

But, if they did not register it which appears to be the case, you should have at least received the MSO which looks like a title. They should have signed the back so if you ever registered it, you'd be able to get the title in your name. EVERY motorcycle has a title. Including dirt bikes.

I would highly suggest getting with Fay Meyer and getting the MSO. You shouldn't have to pay for one and if they lost it, they may try and say it costs money to get, but they should pay KTM for it. It's probably in your deal jacket which they are required by law to keep for a set number of years.

You'll have a hell of a time at that price getting it sold unless you retrieve the MSO.

Just a friendly suggestion. You can do whatever you wish. Trying to help here. ;)

I looked and its the mso. Not to mention I no longer live in co. If someone wants the bike they will buy it. Its a hard sell for me so there is no rush. And obviously not every bike is registered lol.

Stop trolling my listing lol :p.

PERFECT! If you have the MSO, you're gold. And yes, not every motorcycle is registered. All of our race bikes have been MSO only and sold easily. We never titled because we never went to the street with them. But, if the dealer signs and does everything needed, you CAN register if you so desire. MSO is gold, man.

Sorry for trolling. Just wanted to educate a buyer. This bike is awesome and a great track bike.

How do i know?

:)

This will make a great bike for someone. I also have a bunch of setup notes and info I'd share to whomever. You'll get this sold. Post it on ktmforums.com also... I sold everything off that site - very RC8R oriented.

I bought the bike, fixed the cosmetics and love it!!!! Its been the star of the show everywhere ive been. Love to have the notes Red Dawn.
