I have over the years been lucky enough to meet, visit, and socialize with all the graves yamaha riders. As it brings me sadness to see Josh Hayes leave racing (such a nice guy and great rider).
quick story as i was with Josh at njmp during his race and i asked him for some hints for njmp. he was being pulled to talk to all these different people and he stopped and took the time to talk about the track and how i should approach it. he told me stop reading the magazines and worrying about times and just go out there and enjoy it. the more you enjoy it the faster you will become. anyway he will continue as tester, rider coach and ambassador for yamaha. Best of luck to Josh in the future.

Garrett Gerloff i know since he was young (as well as CAM way back to the 600 days) garrett won the first title in 2016 really came into his own last year and laid down the gauntlet after this season. Garrett got the call to ride superbike with cam. all the best to garrett. and hopefully a great season for him.

Too bad Hayes never got an honest shot at WSB or motogp. He had a wildcard GP ride once and did pretty good under wet conditions. He was just a good as some of the mid or backpack riders from Europe.

finished 7th in valencia 2011

Josh Hayes, met him at a track day at COTA a couple of years ago, what a down to earth, nice stand up guy.

Sad to see him retire, he would make a great TV support announcer.

Good luck for Garrat, he'll give us someone to route for.
