It looks like WSBK Duc has a legitimate shot at the title this year, Philip Island is a big time horsepower track and Chaz was right there on Rea. I smell CHAMPIONSHIP.

Ninja still has a significant horse power advantage The draft was Davis' ally.

Yeah that advantage was pretty obvious the one lap Chaz led when Rea completely overpowered him down the straight.

But there are quite a few tracks that will equal that horse power advantage out, Chaz is the man on that bike though.

I've said for the last two years that Davide is the faster rider. What I saw Saturday and Sunday is that he is going to be patient and build up thru the season. He ran the fastest lap of the race in Race 1 on the last lap. I bet he will be at the top soon.

Looks to be a great season with lots of battles ahead! I loved seeing the 7 rider 4 manufacturer pack at the front in race 2 swapping places. Davies just pushed it too hard but good to see him aggresive. Also was happy to see Hayden finish 4th in race 2.

I usually buy one pass or the other but this year I bought the WSB pass. I love to watching racing so I can't kid myself, I'll buy the MotoGP pass also.

Rea's ZX-10R had some long legs. It was unreal coming down the front straight. It reminded me of the Aprilia from a few years ago in WSB.

I also like to watch World SuperSport. Those guys on 600s are like watching roller derby. The bikes are fairly equal and it comes down to rider balls/vinegar. I remember several years ago Josh Hayes got to ride in one race and he pounded his way up through the field to like 4th or 5th ( I don't remember exactly) and it was impressive. All the guys were whining that Josh was too aggressive. Anyway, I'm rambling and yes, our Ducati(s) both looked awesome in WSB.

aprilia rsv4 v4 where are you ?

bmw I4 ?

Yamaha ?

it looked like the ducati was pulling the honda yamaha and aprilia and the kawasaki was pulling on everyone at the end of the front straight.

is it possible that people have falsely attributed straight away advantage with a superior engine configuration? instead of the truth - which is that drafting gearing and superior tuning will win every time. not to mention that top speed doesn't win any trophies .
where are all the people who were calling the death knell of the twin now since the ducati was is faster than everyone other than the kawasaki? crickets.

Michael van der Mark was 15 years old when the bike he rides came to market.

No doubt he is quick. But he has always had an issue with knowing where the limit is and respecting it. Davide at the top, not so sure...

I remember that WSS race. That was the one that Sofuoglu punched him while going down the straight!

WSS also got rid of electronic aids this year, so it's going to be even more wild. Stock triples and links as well. PJ was already backing it in everywhere last year, his loose style may actually be an advantage this year.
