Gripper Seat Cover

Just picked up my new seat cover, gripper top, embroidered 1199 and suede sides, this was made to fit over the standard seat and I have found it is slightly more comfortable and super sticky (no more crushed nuts). I am 5ft 5in so the DP Race or Comfort seat was way out of the question as I struggle reaching the ground as it is, so my upholsterer mate looked at a pick of others on the market and said no worries. These are available if anyone wants one made to order as we have a template, they will be able to be personalised, i.e. the embroidery colour, Italian flag maybe???? what is written on them etc (I thought of doing 1199.com) but ran with just the 1199. I have used this exact same gripper on my MX bikes and it lasts extremely well and doesn't soak up the moisture like other products out there.

Nice... can he do all black with red stitching and the ducati logo in a slightly different shade of black?
Did you guys also do the passenger seat? Would be nice to match

Thanks.. I very nearly ordered one of those, but read that they don't offer much if any grip advantage over the stock OE one.
First and foremost, I'm after more grip.

Could easily do that, PM me your email etc and I will get Josh to contact you directly, price will be far cheaper than the Luimoto cover, I said the exact same thing re grip, what you are asking is very achievable. I will be doing the passenger seat, however have not put it on yet due to not having anyone to babysit our 10 month old daughter while we head out. My wife really loves bikes, speed and HP she was the one that said buy it!!!!!!

Seat cover is installed. More grip than the stock seat.. installed the cover over the existing seat cover..

I have one of these (lumimoto cover) that I installed with the gold gel underneath. Bit of mucking around but good result. More grip than stock I would say twice as much.

Just had the first real chance to test the new seat cover and Termis on the open road, I was in my Dainese full leathers and it was a warm winters day here for us 10 degrees and clear roads apart from a couple of shaded corners which still had some ice, moistsure and grit, but on the whole I was able to push the bike for the first real time. Under the hardest of acceleration in any gear I did not move backwards, felt extremely safe when power wheelies were upwards of 180km/hr no movement by me, had to actually get arse up off the seat to re position yourself for corners (which is ok in my book) and tested heavy braking and no crushed jewels which is the best part. This cover totally transformed the bike and love her even more than before.

I was thinking about one of these covers but ended up going with the DP Race seat. Works very well.

Will do my best, currently working nights so like to get some sleep when I get home, then toddler duty, then sleep before work again, hopefully some time to get the bike out in between these times, will get the better camera out and take some better shots than what I have loaded on the computer ATM.
